Jacob had a childhood split between the Lake District and Dartmoor, places famous for their rugged, wild spaces. That coupled with a father who loved the mountains, and it was fate he too would be live for being out in nature.
Bikes came long before cameras ever did, but after realising his skills were best used outside the race tape, the two passions have been naturally linked since. From the age of 15 Jacob has been laser focused in the development of moving images and photography, and this focus led to a full time career doing just that, right out of school. All real word experience, in real situations, in every weather and landscape out there from deserts, rainforests, glaciers and alpine peaks.
Now based in Bristol, UK, his love for the outdoors is still as strong as ever and when he isn’t riding, climbing or running he is normally in some far away place looking through a lens or busy at the computer editing his latest work, usually of other people pushing their limits.
Confident in all aspects of a high level production from the vital early phases of concepting, pre-production and location scouting, though to the more practical directing, shooting, lighting, photos and video on state of the art cameras & drones to a top level, and right through to the editing, post-production and marketing.
Jacob understands the importance in the whole process being given the time it deserves and working as part of a team to give the end client the best product possible. After 15 years in the industry he has a wide network of fellow creatives across every conceivable specialism to help get projects done right. Every time.
It’s this outlook which is why 10 years ago he co-founded production company Aspect Media with fellow creative Chris Seager which is where they both work on projects for clients from all corners of the outdoor industry.
